Ici , derrière le mémorial, le jardin des disparus avec un mur où sont inscrits les noms des 1557 soldats disparus en opération en Normandie; si l'on regarde attentivement, on peut voir que certains noms ont été effacés; cela signifie que l'on a identifié  et enterré le soldat; on en retrouve encore aujourd'hui

Behind the memorial is the garden of the missing; it's a semi circular wall that contains the name of the 1557 names of the missing in operation or not identified  engraved on tablets. some name are erased; it means that the body was found and identified;  today we still find bodies .

Certaines tombes sont connues, même si toutes se ressemblent; ici je vous présente le soldat Ryan, autrement dit l'un des frères Nidland, à l'origine du film de Spielberg. 

Some graves are famous ; this one belongs to "the private Ryan", one the Nidland brothers  who inpired the  Spielberg's movie

Le plus haut gradé du cimetière, le général Théodore Roosevelt jr, de la famille du président; à côté, son frère, tombé pendant la première guerre mondiale

This is General Theodore Roosevelt jr, from the president's family; at his side his brother, dead during the 1st world war
